Orticolario was born in 2009<\/strong> at Villa Erba: since then, every autumn<\/strong>, the villa\u2019s park is transformed for a few days into an open-air laboratory, where a guiding theme<\/strong> \u2014 different each year \u2014 shapes the displays, competition gardens, cultural programme and communications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is organised by a non-profit cultural organisation<\/strong>, active all year round and supported by a network of nurserymen, artisans, designers and local institutions<\/strong>: this ecosystem is what makes the event so deeply rooted on Lake Como.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orticolario is a non-profit<\/strong>: its raison d\u2019\u00eatre is to promote landscape culture<\/strong> and encourage a more mindful relationship with nature, putting art, design and botany<\/strong> into dialogue. Eden<\/strong> is the \u201cuntouched beginning\u201d: an untamed garden that invites us to look at the world as if for the first time<\/strong>.
